I just started using nests, but have always been a fan of the Irish goodbye myself.
You know it’s funny, I’m Irish and we don’t do this any more or any less than any other nationality lol. Maybe it’s reference to the Irish drinking culture and when you’re blind drunk you care less about social niceties and just disappear without saying a word 😂
