It's becoming ridiculous how many Bitcoin-related apps I have to install and deal with just to use #bitcoin.

- BlueWallet for Multisig

- GreenWallet for Liquid

- ZeusWallet for Lightning and on-chain Taproot

- Minibits for eCash

- Peach for P2P on-chain

- Robosats for P2P lightning

- BoltzExchange for swaps

These are just the basics, in my opinion.

Advanced users, also known as "paranoid crypto-anarchists", will also need to install:

- Bitcoin Core Node

- Electrum Server

- Mempool

- WasabiWallet for on-chain coinjoins

- Multiple custodial LN wallets for mixing

Even the shitcoiners who are into ordinals/inscriptions would also need a separate wallet app for that.

This growing list of apps makes it increasingly complex and time-consuming to manage. And don't get me started on #nostr...

Is an all-in-one bitcoin mega-app the solution? Thoughts?

I'm in the same boat, but it's because I like it. In reality I barely use any of them, Sparrow or even GreenWallet could deal with your multisign, Zeus with LSP for Lightning and single sign on chain (if needed). Even Phoenix wallet could cover everyting for daily usage and only the MultiSign is for your saving.

Maybe Robosats for P2P LN (I don't see much point of on chain for that, as soon fee goes up again, it's almost useless), but eventually we will spend out BTC without converting to fiat first.

nostr:npub1uq70uqgas9pyhds2zt57kr9se8rg3s68ztphjnq82ts8rzeknmeql7u0c2 was the proposed solution to this but I haven’t seen anything new after they dropped the app. The communities don’t seem to be growing or available.

Been mulling over the idea of build "Bitcoin OS"

No. A bunch of smaller apps is better. Not everyone needs every use case. It's better to let the user pick and choose based on their needs.

all in one sounds easier from a usability standpoint but becomes a central point of failure. unless it's just a UI frontend that integrates all these into its back end. sounds like an interesting nightmare though.
