I told my 80 year old mom to not bother sorting recycling and trash, because she wasn’t correctly determining what was recyclable. So she started putting everything in the recycling, including all the trash…. That wasn’t my intention. Oops.

Where I live you HAVE to recycle because the trash can is tiny.
Here the trash is paid for by buying special bags which are $5 each. So if you want to not recycle, that’s fine, it’s just more expensive.
