I've only done a handful of these jobs in the last four years. Usually I am driving a transplant team from the airport to the hospital where they extract the organ and back again. This one was interesting because they just put the liver in the trunk and I drove alone to the airport and handed it off the the pilot of a private jet. For about 45 minutes I was the only person in possession of this live human liver that was destined for someone's life saving surgery.

It's a pretty cool process to be a part of, but I can't help but laugh at the chain of custody going from surgeons at the hospital to some random dude (me) as part of the process. I do work for a high end car service, so it's better than calling an Uber, but still you would think there would be more reverence for a human body part with such an important purpose 😂

I hear they're good with fava beans.

Then the doctor brought it out I said "alright, dinner time!"

His response was "yum, all the nutrients." 😂

Wild

I had a section of human brain in my parents freezer as part of a 8th grade science project. Picked it up from a local college with my Mother, who was absolutely not a fan of it.

one of my first jobs was as a Hot Shot Courier & we would get organs sometimes. Yah.. wild to be a part of saving life
