Btw, mercenaries sign a civil contract with financial rewards and penalties, whereas soldiers swear an oath to serve and face criminal prosecution and prison for breeches while getting paid shit wages.

None of these people are getting paid as mercenaries. They're getting the same shit pay that soldiers always get.

Yes, there is a difference, they would be soldiers not mercenaries. I just wanted to bring up the image of mercenaries in my note, that we are having to recruit like that. I like the "Aussie Foreign Legion", that's good.
