We do have chip fab plants here. TI has one in Texas. They are not Intel I7 chip plants but we could continue to compute without Taiwan if need be.

If China invaded Taiwan, we would blow up their chip plants most likely.

And for 10 years high end computers would be hard to buy new.

Cars would need to go back to not being computer ran for a while.

It would be a good idea to stock up on a few extra computers as a emergency measure. Like extra food

A few raspberry pis and extra SD cards.
