Didn’t know I followed a rockstar 🎸
Time to explain your rationale and plan, instead of stirring drama, then complaining about drama being stirred
I'm not complaining, it's entertaining.
I'm publishing an essay this weekend.
That’s a long way from now! Ideally the essay comes first, and then the action. People also don’t know what happened last week, so they blame everything on you, and who stands to correct them?
I published my original reasoning a MONTH ago on the development mailing list. It's not my problem if people who are using testnet don't read the mailing list. They really should!
I did read the post when it came out, and people keep linking it to me when I ask what is going on. It explains the problems with testnet3, it doesn’t at all address your plans to nuke it unilaterally
Hey, I follow the mailinglist but from your e-mails it wasn't obvious that you're going to attack testnet. I personally don't mind but I see how people could perceive it as a dick move for not having a clear heads up to move from testnet ASAP.
If I missed an announcement please let me know.
What a weord roller coaster. I agree with the conclusions about core devs and ironically you do aswell right ?
Bro do you even Bitcoin?
I lived through The Testnet War in 2024, it was tense I tell you. So much FUD, everyday (of that particular week) another horror story, another doomsday scenario (for Lopps local testnet), so many different interest groups colliding (Lopp and some other testnet users) could've gone any way.
Will be on Netflix soon I believe, jaw dropping stuff. But I was there. All week long, reading notes on Nostr once a day like a crazy person lol ask my wife I slept less than 8 hours a day for like three days in a row.
Everything was on the line.
