Met a guy at the gym today, he introduced himself as a gold/forex trader (he has a laptop running an EA on 5m tf) he ask if I'm interested, I said I have stopped trading a few years ago and now I just focus on Bitcoin.

He was taken aback by the answer, saying he'd never touch Bitcoin or crypto (good for him) as they are too shady and that trading forex is better because you can visit the offices of the broker/exchanges. He went on to say how this miraculous EA changed his life and that this new broker he's using treats him like family, he trusts them.

He asked where do I trade my Bitcoins?

I said I don't, I keep them in my own wallet.

"But you still need to have wallet accounts with exchanges like Bitkub or Satang don't you?"

I said no, I create my own keys, I sign my own transaction, he seemed confused.

I said with Bitcoin, you can take self custody of your own money.

Something clicked, then he said

'ah! So it's like Metamask, no?'

I smiled, "well, kind of but not exactly." I feel no need to explain further.

"So, well, this EA is great, my followers have been making over 100% day the brokerbis treating me well and I'm so happy." He went on.

TFW you see a dear in the gaping jaw of a crocodile and you can't do anything but wish him the best. I gave him my YT channel and left.
