Washington at least has no income tax, no cap gains under 250k, and middle of the road sales/property tax and lots of semi cheap land.

That’s what I mean. It’s a weird split of laws and regulations.
Washington has state income tax more.. they just don’t call it that… it’s called the “Washington Cares Act” .. costs a lot and gives you two months of palliative care if you’re dying… and the idiots in this state think it’s just great..
Also it’s VERY easy in this state to breach 250K in cap gains.. which is ANOTHER income tax….
And don’t get me started about the ever expanding gun control laws…
