Normalize paying in cash and saying "Keep the change"
When I go to get a coffee of a burger or something, Iike to hand a $20 and say keep the change, it's a relatively small gesture, but I've worked in the service industry and it goes a long way.
If someone makes my food, I want to tip them, sure the company should pay them fair, but even if they are it's a nice thing to do.
As a former cook, I like to tip them. I'm more likely to when its busy
