finally back home
first time playing Civilization VI π
See you in a month. π
oh no
what have i started
an amazing game but also really addictive and takes for fucking ever
i need help
got so lost that i quit
I don't have time today, but I'm super down to play sometime soon.
sounds good
Expect a game to last 1-3 months if you play infrequently.
WHAT
Lol yeah. Ive had a game last 6+ months. Had email updstes for when it was my turn. I dont even think we finished. In the later stages of the game, turns can take for fucking ever because you're managing so much bullshit.
My group sets auto timers. Early game turns last 30s max but it slowly allows more time as the game continues.
Still, if you can't automate your progression and units you will lose your turn.
It's a commitment.
Itβs good. Pay attention to the faith system. Itβs cracked.
the assistant asked at the start of the game if i had played before
picked "new to civilisation"
and then it disappeared
i'm so lost
Itβll pop up every so often, or should. Do you have the DLCβs or just the base game?
uhhh, i have no idea
i got gifted this game by a friend like 4-5 years ago
never played it
after playing catan yesterday for a little, it reminded me of it
halp
Religion is a full game meta. It works from start to end in all eras. Domination does too, but the competition is tougher. One of my buddies maximizes Religion and can usually take the entire planet before modern era.
Yooooooo! The game is amazing! Currently running a cooperative game with 3 others against an AI team and an AI Diety on its own team. They cheat so much!
dude, you and nostr:npub1gnwpctdec0aa00hfy4lvadftu08ccs9677mr73h9ddv2zvw8fu9smmerrq need to teach me so bad
i am proper lost π
There is a lot! Most of your learning will be in just trying things to see if how they work.
Early game focus on building as many cities as you can and defending from barbarians.
If you need to, bribe them to stop attacks for a bit. The more you do the likelier they will become a city-state. If that happens you should be less aggressive since they will accept envoys.
Trade between cities is important for religious, cultural, and science wins.
Don't aim for a science win, it can only happen in a post-modern era. Religion, cultural and domination can win at any point in the game.
Spies will be introduced near the Cold War.
Loots more nuance with eras, like golden and dark ages, natural disasters and climate change modes, but just focus on the early game since most mechanics won't even be introduced for 100 turns π
civ makes me understand how weak my english skills are
Great game
