Three options:

-Waze. Technically owned by Google, but, it's one layer of obfuscation away from Google. Stellar incident and police location reporting.

-Magic Earth. Not open source, but, VERY good.

-Organic maps. The best of the OSM based navigation, but, hog-tied by poor human interface in regards to address lookup, just like all OSM based maps are. Better in stone areas than others, depending on how autistic contributors are in an area.

All of these offer voice nav.

And you certainly can use real maps while driving. 🤷‍♂️
