I never heard that saying.
But somehow it reminded me of an Italian response to a hypothetical situation.
“If, my grandmother was a cartwheel…”
PS: I don’t know why a grandma wouldn’t be able suck an egg 🥚. I feel there are some nuances in the saying.
The expression is from the British sense of humour guess. Teaching (your) grandmother to suck eggs is an English language saying that refers to a person giving advice to another person in a subject with which the other person is already familiar (and probably more so than the first person).
Fair enough.
Not se the same as if my nonna was a cartwheel.
