“1% of people in this country are in prison. Do you know what happens when you go to prison? They take you away from your kids.

“That happens disproportionately to working class, black and Hispanic men, and white men in the underclass. Where are the thousands of articles about them?

“Somehow none of us have empathy for those people because none of us really deal with those people. At Palantir, we are on the side of working class Americans.”

It happens disproportionately to people who are caught committing crimes. Don't commit crimes, or at least don't get caught. Thank you for your attention to this matter. 🧐

When the people running the system NEED a certain percentage of their population in jail to keep the rest of them fearful and under control, they will expand the laws UNTIL they get their regular quota. The only really saving grace of this is it does keep the stupid or very unlucky out of the gene pool for longer...
