one thing that's becoming apparent through this lady i'm seeing is that i'm less sexual than i used to be. connection and intimacy feels more important. i think a lot and this can get in the way of getting sexually immersed. it reminds me of another thing i stopped immersing myself in: movies, television and books. i'm very mindful all the time and rarely forget my surroundings.

i think on some level, she is also very much the same way. very mindful and pays careful attention. so we do that constantly. tending to the other person's needs and watching out for them. this comes at the cost of "simple selfish pleasure" in a way. you can't lose yourself.

with such a caring and self-aware person as her, the attraction is on a different level than the body. obviously i enjoy to touch her and to be touched but it's very different. i never talked so much while being intimate before. i'm unsure about the sexual compatibility since there is so much talking, trial and error. but it's teaching us things.
