i read one of his books. There were a lot of good geopolitical insights.
I could even take his statement about bitcoin as a joke. But he is unwatchable now. I also don't think i would read anything written past 2016.
However, I start to call into question his negative outlook for China... I mean it still seems pretty negative for their population. But i'm hoping the power of positive thinking might prop up their civilization.
At some point his thinking stopped reflecting observations of the world and started conforming to some nebulous religion that people who are closed to government military funding sources sort of maintain. Especially since he's GenX and probably participate in any of the wars.
I'm sorry if you're GenX, and I hurt your feelings. But GenX really got to check their privilege.
i was just joking about GenX. I don't mean to blame them for all of the pop music, marketing, diversity initiatives, and TV programming at all. Neither for the branding of certain political campaigns.
they are wonderful people. i love their humor, pollyanna attitudes, jokes that could be straight from Friends or Seinfeld.

China is really an interesting case because its outlook is black or white. Depending on the metrics you look at, it’s either inevitably going to dominate, or it’s utterly fucked.
What metrics do you look at that shows domination?
