I’ve been welcoming a lot of new users and I recommend coracle as a great desktop option, as I really like it, and a few of them keep saying that they prefer primal because they feel the feed doesn’t load in real time on Coracle. Is this because primal caches the notes and this make it quicker, whereas Coracle is fetching the notes?
Partly, coracle's fetching algorithm is also not always complete. Something I'm working on but honestly it's concerning how much traction primal is getting, they are not a true nostr client in the sense that they do much more caching of data to improve ux.
Okay, this is what I have heard from other developers as well. I have mentioned it to new users, but most are overwhelmed already with everything they are trying to learn. I’ll keep it in mind when helping to onboard new users.
