Speaking of scary stuff: this nukemap is kind of scary

https://nuclearsecrecy.com/nukemap/

We'll probably have WWIII, nukes, AI, super virus and Aliens hit all the same time just as Bitcoin hit a million.

I just hope I get to play GTA 6 before we bomb the shit out of this planet

Artificial Stupidity is far more dangerous, and already exists today.

Just pattern recognition on things humans have compiled into media over time, no?

Now it does scare me on a fiat standard. I think it further concentrates wealth and power.

On a bitcoin standard, the thought is that any gains through AI is spread through humanity. Couple that with bitcoin mining competing to generate and consume the freest energy, and you’ve got robots building robots building roads and putting out fires.

Becoming self aware, and endless computation power of new learnings.

Is the only way it would be capable of being self aware, is if you combined/implanted it in a human? I just don’t see the path to consciousness

We are pretty close to that already:

Claude 3 is even better, especially at the stuff GPT4 was bad at.
