Never been a fan of voice messages in texts. Very inconvenient to listen to when around other people or family members that you want to just keep it private. Just text me.
Discussion
I hate texting, & don't mind voice messages. When I'm around other people, they want my full attention and I think it's rude to look at my phone when in the company of others. If it's just friends socializing and leaving a voice message, it's not urgent, and I can listen when I get home. If it seems important, I can always excuse myself and walk into the bathroom or whatever to listen to a voice message. Fucking call me! I'm old, and old school. Typing all day is something I have to do with my business anyway, I'm over this back and forth texting all damn day when a two minute call will get it done faster.
Yes but iMessage does have a neat feature for speech to text where as you can decide to listen or read it
On a side note sometimes speech does allows for a different tone, whereas text only relies on the interpretation of the receiver
Nowadays you can easily transcribe them (I do that all the time)
