* As part of peace negotiations, Ukraine is being asked to reduce its military from 880k to 600k, which would still give it the second largest military in Europe (after Russia, with 1.300k). It is now a major arms exporter.

* Bitcoin is still on sale, at €75k, but the hodlers are shopping the sale.

* Gold and silver have Peter Schiff gloating non-stop, at €3.700 and €60, respectively.

* Trump is 33.768 hours into the 24-hour Ukraine Peace Deal, but still working hard toward a strong finish.

* The U.S. mid-term elections are in 306 days.

* American WTI crude has crashed down to $58/barrel (with Russian Ural crude typically at least $20 below that). Both countries are groaning under the drop in revenue, which has resulted in the USA blockading Venezuelan oil cargo.

* Iran's consumer price inflation is approaching 50%, with 70% reported for food. Protests have ensued.

* Bulgaria is the 21st country to join the euro.

* The Middle East is not yet at peace, but the biggest hot war, in the Palestine region, has largely ended.

* China is sabre rattling, to deflect from its endemic battle against deflation. Threats are focused on Russia, India, and Taiwan.

Would you support an AI running the government?

In this scenario all planning / support positions that can be eliminated would get instantly eliminated. With many more possibly gone quickly.

Assume the most “fair” AI. Won’t go into details of how that’s determined but just imagine we picked the best one for the position.

Cormac McCarthy, the bestselling and Pulitzer-winning author of books like No Country For Old Men, The Road, and Blood Meridian, famously didn't like quotation marks, felt they cluttered the page, and so he didn't use them.

When dialogue happens in his novels, there are no quotes around it, and you as the reader just have to figure out when a line is narration or dialogue. He also didn't use semicolons or exclamation points or certain other forms of punctuation. While he didn't exclude commas entirely, he did minimize them, and instead used extra "ands" in place of where many other authors would use commas. He used periods normally.

His prose isn't my cup of tea, but there's no denying his success, and it goes to show that you can kind of just do things.
