I have to give a talk in front of an audience of which I know that it doesn’t like me much (some individuals seem to even hate me) and which I don’t like either. I was getting nervous yesterday, and now this feeling is suddenly gone.

I do, it’s my own research :) It’s just the people I will present it to don’t like me much because they think I’m not senior enough to do what I do and to be where I am now :)
Great! I see this is a general problem btw that age is associated with seniority. Which is stupid. You can have 30 years of work "experience" still knowing nothing.
So I think, just concentrate on enjoying the presentation. That will make it better, and worst case you just crushed a presentation you enjoyed!
