The only reason to promote "gas guzzlers" is to keep people totally dependent on corporations and governments for their survival.
I have solar panels, my electric bike costs nothing to run.

I'd love to hear about solar/electric bike setup. It is something I've been thinking about. I love the idea of being more independent from the global energy market, and Ive got solar on my house.
However, having a family, needing to carry cargo, and wanting the capacity to occasionally drive 10 hrs makes the ebike solution less than ideal. It seems like some sort of plug in diesel hybrid is the sweet spot. Much of my driving ( short distances) would be doable on electric, but about once a month its just not possible. The alternative is two vehicles, but I dont like that as much.

all good except, The gas guzzler part is dumb. Only dumb people pay many hundreds a month for gas just for a massive truck that is only used to get them to go to work. Before fiat world took over trucks were much smaller and convenient.
