I’d say 3-5 years but yes. The bears really only need a couple more pieces to have a competitive roster. If fields can get the passing game honed in, which he should with this better OL, all that’s really needed is a couple defensive players to become contenders.
10 years ago I’d have agreed with you, but this is the new NFL where you can’t play aggressive defense and (heaven forbid) tackle a QB.
