It's so frustrating to watch some of my friends who can't see why Bitcoin is different.

But this frustration in the end is our fault cause we don't communicate well enough.
Maybe memes are not enough to reach the people.
Is it our fault? Is it their greed? Is it them being lazy? Is it not enough time in the market? Is it their principles? 🤦
If you listened to #memewars by nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc you could for sure come to the conclusion that it is our fault. If we understand Bitcoin also as a Community, we as parts of it define how open this community really is. And to be honest, Bitcoiners are quite far away from normies. So it is natural that we're not atracting normies to go down the rabbit hole. Herding here at the nostr doesnt make it better (but is fun for us)
But i understand what you mean. Yes you can't save a child from experiencing burning it's hand. You can just try to help not burning that hard.
It is the same with your friends. I unfortunately came to Bitcoin through shitcoins.
Interesting. Thanks for the insight. I will checkout Gigi's #memewars. I give you many people sats in everyway I can. All they have to do is wait or stack some more but they get greedy and bored and keep shitcoining even after all the scandals and fraud.
In this case this mist not be the worst thing. Most important is that they stack sats. So they will have the experience.
Maybe you can encourage them to take just a small portion of their portfolio as casino money to play with but not to go to far.
So you at least controll how hard they burn.
And it must not be the worst to play casino with shitcoins as long as they put their eins into sats.
I wish i'd had a friend explaining me Bitcoin when i started to be interested in crypto money.
It would have helped me to do better decisions and i would be a damn rich person now.
But is is what it is.
I guess our job is to be their rock/solid anchor. Calm, confident, wise and always there for them when in need 😂
