I think you’re misunderstanding what I was saying…. Imagine a being, non human, or human with some new found intelligence and the ability to scan photons and absorb information via light.

Imagine You are sitting on a planet, looking through a telescope and see a planet 1000 light years away…. Therefore you are seeing the planet as it was 1000 years ago. Then you accelerate through the light of that planet at a speed beyond the speed of light.. as you get closer you would be receiving the light from 999 light years, 998, 990, 900, 800 (the planet as it was 800 years ago) and so on…. As you travel you would be reading the planets light from 1000 years ago to present day when you arrived and if you were capable of transferring information with photons you would have absorbed much of the planets knowledge on your trip.
