like giving my private keys to Alby ?

Am I going in the centralized direction again?? What if Alby shares my private key ?? Also, if not Alby then how to switch clients between devices... tooo much stuff to figure out first

Just to clarify, Alby has no access to you keys. The keys is storaged locally.

I mean for Nostr. They have a custodial lightning wallet.

Keep only an amount of sats you'd be okay with losing on a hot wallet. Phone internet etc.

Move to a cold HW wallet for bigger stacks. Cold card or jade.

Consider more durable configurations for generational wealth. Multi sig HW wallets.
