Latest #proofofwork. Cedar shingle replacement on the gable end of our house.

Cedar trees cut from our land last winter. Logs milled this spring. Shingles sawn last week. Installed over the past few days.

What a dramatic transformation! Still some small details to finish up today, and then my back really needs a break. 😅

Thanks! Yeah they look beautiful and last a really long time! Such a nice material to work with too, very satisfying. The old shingles I pulled off were 120 years old. 😳 These definitely won't last that long since we don't have the old-growth heartwood they did back then, but I do hope this job will outlast me at least.
