Trading cards? I like the idea. Forgetting the rules of the system since Nostr can handle anything with the right coding… I would imagine that the cards would function like NFTs or badges. Possibly you could open “packs” by Nostr activity being tracked as a “proof of participation” like notes, comments, or likes.

As for a Nostr app for card games: I can’t code to save my life, but I do love game design and have already designed one card game to teach my kids math. Designing a bit more of an adult game for this ecosystem would be fun if someone wanted to help me with the app end.

Almost that.

If you want any game design help for that, let me know. I have a couple of cool ideas.

Hmmmm. These are explicit magic cards. Neat! How is ownership determined or how are macthese played?

We all currently play on mtg:arena on steam. The website works in conjunction with steam so you show off your decks. You still have to buy the cards you want from someone else's deck but iirc there's a way to do that from the surveil.cards site too

Indeed! There are TCGPlayer purchase links for individual cards and decks, as well as the ability to print full decks with accurate card sizes.

This site is primarily for building decks and collections, but I think having the ability to play them would be nice. Recreating something with game functions like cockatrice (a free way to play magic over the internet) or the Moxfield deck tester would likely be possible.
