High Thought 💭

When it comes to a deaf person thinking to themselves, do they hear a voice?

I asked my deaf brother in law this question so I know the answer just curious what you all think..

I don't think so

If born deaf, they wouldn’t know what a voice sounds like? I’m going with, no.

How would he communicate to himself in his head if not a voice?

Words? Sign language? Not sure really 🤷🏼‍♀️

Probably something like sign or proprioceptive feelings of producing sign language. There are also many people who think in images.

I would assume they think in pictures, like Lego instructions. No?

Do you want to know now or do you want to think about it

I do. What did he say?

This reminds me…if you do hear a voice…is it yours??? My inner voices change…sometimes with an accent sometimes without…

🤣 depends what’s on I drink but I get it

Lol 🍻

What did he say? I’d love to know!

The answer is he visualizes himself signing. This is how he thinks.
