What iris messenger are you talking about? I think there is a mobile app and there is https://iris.to which is a Snort instance.

Follows of my follows of my follows is the default? So with Iris I never see new users until somebody follows them? That is awesome! Snort was my main client in the past but it turned unreliable so I had switched to NoStrudel. Guess I'll give it another try. Thank you!

Navigating to that URL does not work in a bad way. I have to clear cache and login ... Something I have to do every other minute with Snort. I think that was the reason why I had abandoned it.

My settings have no "Social Network" and look quite different than what you shared:
