I want to gift my kids multiple presents for Christmas but my wife thinks 1 is enough. I personally think 1 package is boring. As a kid I got gifts from multiple family members at least 4 .. but we don’t have a large family here so they get like 2.

What do you think, am I spoiling them, or does it make sense to make it more fun with multiple presents 🎁 (ignore value, not relevant I think)

I know it’s more fun to get more than 1 because I remember it…

And please don’t say gift sats. Not fun for kids …

In the Netherlands we celebrate Sinterklaas… it’s the OG Santa.

Our kids get a (small) present in their shoe every week for 3 weeks leading up to Sinterklaas’ birthday on December 5th.

On his birthday they get loads of presents from us, their grandparents, uncle’s etc. We try to limit it to giving 3 presents or 30 Euros per family (so we give 3 to each kid, my parent’s give 3 max per kid etc.)

Each kid will end up with about 15 presents or more because somehow the the rules don’t apply to grandparents…
