I am thinking of running my mini miners that I got this year in my backyard shed during the winter to keep it slightly warmer and dryer.
I have 2 Canaan Avalaon 3s, 2 Braiins BMM Mini Miner 101, and 1 BitAxe Gamma.
The shed is not air tight so there is airflow, and a little bit of snow gets inside the edges. Our winters range typically from -10C to -36C throughout December to the end of February.
My logic tells me that a cool processor is a fast processor and that this could possibly prolong the life of the chips as they would be running cooler (either that or slightly faster).
Is this a bad idea? Could I cut holes in a rubber-made bin and put them in there with the cover open?
Apologies for the newbie thermodynamic thought process.
Any feedback or thoughts are appreciated!
