imho with the latest Fediverse coverage due to Reddit's API situation, there have been a lot more people potentially interested in alternatives. However; the Crypto showdown during the COVID pandemic has hardened opinions on Bitcoin and other -coins a lot. Personally, putting the association between Nostr and any kind of -coin in the foreground doesn't seem like a good strategic move. Focusing more on the sheer uncensorable, decentralized nature first and "by the way, you can also do X" later might be a better approach to reach more people. Thanks to a consistent income of crypto-scandals and -scams, I have both observed and personally felt a certain level of disdain towards Crypto-currencies.
Just my two cents tho.
That aside, I am looking forward to seing what Nostr ends up becoming in the future!
