Now that there are edits, clients should include a snapshot of what we are replying to or quoting, rather than a mere reference.
Or we should just screenshot everything.
Most people won't be looking at the edit history, they'll just be confused, like on Twitter.
Edits and deletions are why other social media uses so many screenshots.
By snapshot, I mean the content of one particular version, with the reference to that version, so that people see precisely what you were replying to.
If they make three edits and you reply to edit 2, then your reply should show the content and reference to 2 permanently.
unless there was an option where the person who made edit #1 agrees with the changes and turns replies off.
Screenshot everything.
It might get even extra confusing given no guarantees which relays got the edits
