Replying to Running Man

Good morning and happy Friday NOSTR friends!

This morning's run was.....well I was going to say "fast and short", but too many jokes can come out of that one.

So instead, I'll describe this morning's run as a "pretty fast" 45 minutes.

As I write this note I am thinking about all the things that got done this week.

I'd say an overall productive week and enjoyed every minute of every day of it. That's a new realization. When on full blown hamster wheel mode, these two factors have typically been mutually exclusive.

Productive week = stressful and unhealthy week.

Fun week = unproductive week.

Horrible way to spend my time, thinking back on it.

"What do I need to do to ensure this week becomes my norm?!" #ThoughtOfTheDay

The longer I am off the hamster wheel and the fewer hours spent on the fiat factory, the more obvious and clear are the opportunities to me. It becomes easier with every passing day for me to identify the path I want to take.

On that front, I did budget 3 hours today for the fiat factory, totalling about 12 hours for the week. Next week's fiat factory hours are expected to be < 8 hours. Eventually ending the month with zero hours budgeted for fiat commitments.

Oh and someone on the trails this morning (a gentleman clearly younger then I, greeted me with "good morning young man!" Yeah. That brought me a smile. Haha.

Having a banging day friends.

nostr:npub1er0k46yxcugmp6r6mujd5qvp75yp72m98fs6ywcs2k3kqg3f8grqd9py3m I think it has to do with update laggs on some relays I connect to. And laggs vary depending on where I am geographically or which device I am on.

I write it off as qwerky qwerks because we are early.

Have a great week my friend. How are you doing with this week's miles?

I am a bit behind on miles, but I plan on logging in a couple long ones over the next couple days.

This morning is going to be a 1 hour long run.

Pooch is fully charged, so we should be good.

Thanks!

Miles so far looking good. I structure my runs based on pace:

- Tuesday: recovery run (5K)

- Thursday: threshold run (40 - 70 minutes)

- Saturday: tempo run (10K)

- Sunday: Long run (this week 22 miles)

Thinking about it, I will write a long form post in Habla.news explaining my training methodology as a way to learn how to use Habla.news šŸ˜…

You should def write something up. I've always found different training programs interesting.

The exercise of defining a marathon goal, identifying current position/capabilities and designing a program to meet/exceed that goal...is sort of like engineering a new dish/meal. There is a fun mix of science and art to it all.
