pdf reader/ocr. I just want to open a damn pdf without getting my eyeballs stabbed by fuckin' popups and like infotainment animations and shit
I just use the built-in Preview app on macOS for pdfs. You can do some markup and editing on pdfs, and it lets you select/copy text in the document. If it’s a scanned document you export it with the option to “embed text” so the text is selectable/searchable in other apps as well. Not sure if that accomplishes what you’re needing, but it’s already on your mac so worth a shot.
