So, aren't Amethyst and some other clients open source projects?

I am a big Amethyst fan, and have stayed with it despite some drawbacks, but hearing that it has hidden filters does concern me.

If that is verified (I am not accusing as I have not yet personally confirmed the details) and if it is open source, I would love to see a fork of the client that would remedy the known issues.

Also as a believer in V4V, I would hope that any such fork would honor nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z and company in an appropriate way for the foundational development.

It's fully open source. Filters have been there since the early days. Anyone can see the code to investigate what they do.

Thank you very much, nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z🙏😁👍💜😆💯‼️

My complaints are about his design philosophy which I think is too rigid. I want an app with devs that are interested in giving the user more power over their own experience, not deciding what the experience should be for them. Something like that can't be solved with a quick fork, I need a whole new app.
