Why would you consider the US?
It's where my employer wants me to be, but I'd rather go somewhere else to be honest.

Trust me, I don't want to go. Working remotely, earning in hard currency and living in cheaper countries is the dream. By going to the USA my purchasing power will greatly decrease.
