Replying to Angela

Today Im at the point where I don’t think open protocol apps are going to succeed in time to beat AI. Current best bet on Nostr: Pablo and Will.

Hard realities:

-Everything in the US happens in a 4 year Presidential cycle.

-Tech celebrates new beginnings, yet totally has its own culture; “we’re early.” It’s nearing too late.

-The Fediverse is built on manipulation. The reliance on anything that isn’t human centered lands tech in the same place it’s been for years. People will just stay on Meta => landing society the AI win => just in time for what? => the US Presidential.

Maybe a non-profit foundation to help market nostr and fund development wouldn’t be such a bad thing? I suspect people would through a lot of sats at that endeavor. I know everyone here hates centralization, but everyone simultaneously throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks only works for so long. It feels like nostr has plateaued as far as new communities joining and media coverage.
