Looks like the current state of #ai is the one that comes after a step forward has been taken in product design without a real advancement in the underlying tech. As the money and the attention now come pouring in, can R&D take advantage of more resources or is everyone just pressured to deliver something, anything?

If there was legislation demanding a bare minimum of interpretability in the output of #llms business development would be forced to slow down and invest more in the technology. Instead we might be letting flawed #ai run our lives without knowing how it came to its decisions.
