I love chocolate but even cocoa powders 3rd party tested low for heavy metals last year can come back looking like this the following year.
Best to stay away, unfortunately.

I have a fantastic source, and never do powder.
100% ceremonial grade cacao, verified.
3rd party lab tested? Share a link, sir.
The Now brand cocoa powder is tested for heavy metals and passed it. Someone on health twitter posted about it a couple months back
So was this one. Last year.
How often is Now tested?
Not sure. Need to look into it tonight
The problem with doing a single test is the bait and switch to cheaper goods after.
Periodic, random, 3rd party testing is probably the only way to ensure no cheating.
👍👍
For some goods I probably care less but not going to mess around with chocolate. I should probably take the same stance with coffee TBH.
Coffee is peaty. But I personally just do espresso for raw milk and raw honey.
We do still have to live life at the end of the day. So as long as I am hitting 99% of the major stuff, my personal tradeoffs like the cocoa powder and coffee are good for me since I look forward to those treats
