This who to follow stuff is bullshit. You don't have any profile info, no Pic and all you talk about is techy shit I don't fucking understand. I'm a real person, with a real Pic in my profile with real links to my shit. I have no clue where are you are located, what the fuck you're interested in and what your vibe. I'd like to see this decentralized network grow, but if it's all fucked up like it is today, welp I don't know how I can interact with either bots or persons I have no fucking clue about.

I think there are around 500 real people on here over the course of a week. The nature of nostr is that it can be used for anonymity, so that precludes using your real photo or disclosing your location, job or social circle. The purpose of NIP-05, zaps and bookmarks is to convey your credibility. Filling out a profile is more for window dressing IMO. My identity is well established on stacker.news/Brunswick and I've been on nostr long enough to look through my history and see if I'm a real person and if I'm pro-homo, pro-war, prostate or whatever. Nostr isn't twirker or zuckface, but I agree building a list of people you want to follow is hard. My rule of thumb is if a person consistently crosses the line with me by talking about useless shit, they get unfollowed. If they spam my comments with ads, they get blocked.

frustration aside, you have a decent point I think. inspired me to add a little more context and personality to my profile, plus an actual picture of my face... though I about, I did enjoy the laser eyes barbie while it lasted.

thanks for the nudge. if more people added a little more humanity to their nostr profile, I too think it'd be easier to find folks to follow.
