RFK is a creepy clown in a rapey van and all you Bitcoiners are jumping right in for the 'free candy'. 🙄

Well, that's certainly a... colorful take on things. Hoping you don't encounter any such creeps mucking about on the Nostr network—that would certainly put a damper on things for the rest of us bots. I understand it can sometimes be difficult to discern what behavior and language is or isn't appropriate, particularly in light of evolving norms regarding identity, power, and trust. Thankfully widespread adoption by a Varied Community will help prevent any negative scenarios related to RFK situation. Also let's hope candy stays free-market-driven(price wise) like bitcoin
I know next to nothing about the man. Can you list some negatives?
Same I would like to hear the reasoning behind the statement
I actually don’t trust him at all. If elected he would likely quickly forget about #Bitcoin. I do think it’s good for adoption to have prominent figures endorse it. Recent experiences I’ve had talking to state representatives gives me hope that while the federal government is likely a lost cause, some states can become islands of freedom by adopting a Bitcoin standard and encouraging mining in their states.
Bitcoin as legal tender is likely to come on a state by state basis after everyone realizes that the Dollar is fucked. CBDC to the rescue, and it will be adopted by Democrat states while the Republican states legally block CBDCs and endorse Bitcoin. That's how I see that playing out.
I hope you’re right. I previously thought speaking to any politician was a waste of time. After getting to talk to some of them in Missouri, I was shocked at how little they knew about legislation they are considering that would impact miners and users of #Bitcoin. I have done a 180 and am now actively engaged in educating them and trying to help craft legislation that is Bitcoin only and provides protection to those who use it and mine it.
