And what about Zapping to dislike a post, where could the sats go? 🤔
Discussion
Ooof... yeah, turn this on and info wars can begin in earnest.
Interesting #[3] .
Maybe “dislike” zaps go to an open source nostr dev/client dev fund.
Perhaps #[4] would know how to / who can manage this anti-zap opensats nostr stash.
My first reaction was to have a designated popular & respected person who would troll the same way I did with posting Calle's lightning address for tips... and then it goes there + that person manages it by changing address every now and then.
But maybe this is where we should employ market forces - you just make it transparent that someone is paying to suppress certain message and send it directly to relays / clients / others that participate in propagation.
Interesting question: effectively, how do we short a note?
An interesting question: how do we short a note/event?

The idea sounds good, but in reality I'm sure that bots would play the system and flood us with even more spam and make at the same time sure that the money for the "dislikes" end somehow in their pockets. Let's better not create these kind of incentives for them.
I don’t see how it could become economically beneficial for bots to burn sats.
Paying the relay an extra incentive to efficiently send only posts that haven't been voted against in this way (my first thought is that this would end in disaster). Or just paying a satcounter and visible display service that serves data needed to auto-filter suppress-bountied posts. (interesting but not sure if better than just... filters with lots of knobs and levers).
