Capitalism is free markets centralization is a form of communism and fascism, not capitalism. But i totally agree with your point.

These terms are intended to be misleading. Capitalism always exists on an individual level because ultimately even under direct threat of violence you have a choice, in jail black markets exist (ie cigarettes as money) , under mao black markets existed. But capitalism or free markets or freedom has always been easily captured, and if it can be controlled it always has been and always will be, hence bitcoins revolutionary importance but that doesnt make the systems capitalism. The powers that be call it, thus many people call it capitalism.

The author of the creature from jekyl island explains these terms are a way to use the term freedom and spin so even the people suffering act against friend for themselves. He calls it collectivism or individualism.

I disagree that capitalism is individualistic.

It requires the existence of multiple unrelated individuals that coordinate voluntarily and interact freely, so both are better off after the exchange.

A society of one living on his own, or where there is only one family or a group of closely related people not interacting with the outer world cannot be capitalistic.

In capitalism each individual is free to choose is the point

One family or one person living on their own is not a society

I am saying free will, a necessary component of capitalism, is something we all have and ultimately cant be taken, even under threat of force or coercion.

So in a society that is not based on capitalism, everyone still has a choice. Unless your they can take your ability to think and or decide for yourself, which some might argue has been the goal in many countries through controlling information, education, communication, speech and expression
