Well, when he was talking about doge and bitcoin, he was buying bitcoin. Tesla was buying bitcoin and he was still CEO. If he had just talked positively about bitcoin at that time that would have been open market manipulation and get him in trouble. That alone is enough motivation to lie about it imo.
But wasn’t he buying doge while also talking about it publicly? Isn’t it exactly the same thing?
