Yes. They are wicking beds. I’ve been posting as we built them, so you can take a look back at what is inside. I’m really excited. I think they will work well. Our plan is to cover them and make them look nice of course.

I’m not sure, but I think I have heard #[4] talk about this lately. If I had to guess from what I have heard/read, I would say bacteria because it is similar to aquaponics and I believe you want beneficial bacteria to populate the medium in the wicking chamber.
