I'm not there on android watches, but it's been a while and they probably got better. Been on Garmin for a while.

I had the very first one back on 2012 🥹 And been on them ever since, until 2022 when I went with a Fitbit for irregular heartbeat tracking. The original pixel watch did not have that. However the second version does.
Pine time is much better and only 25 powells

I have one, its amazing like the pinephone. The battery lasts one week, no OS only firmware, and you choose the firmware you want, kind of like a Linux distro for watch.
That's cool. I think Garmin is prob the best fit for me just due to workout tracking and similar battery life 10ish days. But I like the setup you described.
