ecash is a shitcoin. i give you my btc, i get some string which i can redeem at your mint. if the mint is gone, i own a worthless string.
also the mint can issue as many tokens as it wants, ecash is not backed by anything.
Wallets are created client side using the Cashu-ts library
So you’re not “giving” me your bitcoin
That’s not to say something can’t break so I don’t advise that put your life savings in a meme, but I personally cannot rug you
While memes are fun, I do think the ability to covertly send money does have a use case
