Like I discussed on nostr:nprofile1qqsgt0d4sa0pz0wvn9yck36xxezf3qhwzksu0q254vruqed5wvuavuspzfmhxue69uhky6t5wd6xzcmt9eshquqpz3mhxue69uhkymrpwd68ytnxxaazu7re0gr80m5k years ago: the Gov may be centralized, but it's data and operations are highly distributed AND fragmented.

This fragmentation has acted a buffer for freedom that has prevented the Gov from efficiently carrying out it's tyrannical impulses.

#DigitalIdentity *unifies* data across Gov functions, indexing everything off legal identiy. This makes Gov 100x more efficient; it can be expanded with computers instead of people.

For a glimpse into the future, look to Beijing. #Palantir is being rolled into place for next gen governance; a social credit system that displaces laws on paper.

Soon, every desirable location in the physical and digital world will be gated by social credit, and every action taken by subjects will be registered to their #DigitalIdentity so that it can be traversed and processed by AI scoring.

This is the #GreatReset.

Great analysis. Exactly!

People underestimate how much government inefficiency has protected us from government in the past. That will soon be over.

There is hope though, because many of these inefficiencies were intentional and artifacts of checks and balances and the rule of law.

We need to update such societal patterns of self-organization fast enough to meet the challenges ahead, but not too fast to make them worse (which is what is happening right now, imo).
